Description The Quinta da Mata Manor House The Quinta da Mata is a beautiful manor country house built from the 17th century, over-looking a valley, situated in the North East of Portugal’s Norte region and a short distance from Chaves and Villa de Nantes. Access to the house is from its stone stairs that lead to the atrium and reception area. This exceptional historic property is built of double granite throughout with a complimenting interior design resulting in an elegant and historic feel. A distinct feature of this manor house is a beautiful chapel that is part of its history. There are 6 double bedrooms with full bathrooms as well as a fridge, telephone, television and radio. The house also includes a bar, reading room, library, swimming pool, sauna and spa as well as cooks trained in the art of Portuguese cooking! Outside of relaxation, the Quinta da Mata also provides services for events. There are many activities in and around this area that include golfing, paragliding, karting, walking, wildlife watching, fishing, bike tours and more. |
