Portugal's privileged geographical situation means it is frequently the country at which many foreign airlines prefer to stop over in the Airports placed in continental Portugal. Lisbon is the country’s most important airport and plays an important role in the city’s economic development and that of the entire Lisbon Region. In 1998, Lisbon Airport posted the world highest passenger growth rate. The increase in airport capacity, the efficiency and quality of services provided are evident to all its users.
ANA - Aeroportos de Portugal, SA is the entity responsible for the Airports in Portugal, and the one that gives information about flights and timetables.
When you arrive at the airport the buses no. 44 and 45 bring you in a 25 minutes ride into the city’s centre (Praca dos Restauradores, Rossio, Cais do Sodre). A little bit faster (and more expensive, 500 Esc.) is the airport bus no. 91, that leads you directly to the centre. Right now there is no metro connection.
