The national (and international) bus terminal “Rede de Espressos”, where everyday buses run to most of the Portuguese cities and even to European cities is located in the quarter of Saldanha, Tel. 35 45 775 or 35 45 439. You can reach the bus terminal in Saldanha by metro (take the exit “Avenida duque de avila”, then 100 m straight, turn right, 300 m straight then on the right site, where all the taxis wait). Normally these buses are very comfortable and for a distance of about 300 km you pay about 2500 Escudos. Detailed time and price information you can also get at the tourist office at Praca dos Restauradores.
